NATURAL DISASTER AWARENESS PROGRAM (NDAP)

The NDAP program of ESRU is launched to generate awareness about natural disasters in order to ease the process of disaster mitigation and management. In India and other asian countries natural disasters such as earthquake, flood and landslides are the most common cause of loss of public property and life of people every year.  It is therefore important to know about the risks so that one can prepare to protect himself, family and community. Recognizing an impending hazard and knowing what to do to protect will help you take effective steps to prepare beforehand and aid recovery after the event.
 
Understanding disaster can only help in preparedness for the same. Further each emergency is unique and knowing the actions to take for each threat will impact the specific decisions and preparations. By learning about these specific threats, one can prepare to react in an emergency.
